Jack Davis

This indeed is an out standing photo. Jack Davis and Myrtle Davis. This photo was provided to me from Jeff Henderson. Jeff said in his email that he had others to send…”.Can’t wait Jeff” He did mention that the show when this photo was taken in New York state, 1920’s.

I believe the woman in this photo was actually named Myrtle Wadleigh and she was my great aunt. I have other photos of her and Jack Davis.
Mark Henderson here (the provider of these photos). The elephant’s name was Alice, and she was quite well-known, based on stories I have been told. I connected with some long-lost family members through Ancestry, and they shared more circus photos. I will work on providing them to Ivan for future posts.
And Karen is correct in her comment above. Myrtle’s maiden name was Wadleigh, but she often performed under the name Myrtle Davis (before marrying John Henderson and becoming Myrtle Henderson).
She was, in fact, Myrtle Wadleigh. But she perfomed as Myrtle Davis. (And the photos were provided by MARK HENDERSON, not Jeff Henderson.)
