Blackie was my friend. She was more than a pet. We played together in the back yard of the Yankee Patterson Circus. In the early 1940′s. I remember that my dog and I were inseparable. Blackie worked in my Mothers dog act and when the act was over she was with me.

Yankee Patterson Circus. This was the lot in San Pedro, CA. This circus was produced by Jimmy Woods. The show only lasted for a more than a season. It was tough to make any thing work during the war. Mr. Woods kept trying and later came out with the 101 Wild West Show & Circus [...]
