Circus International

Jeff Powless sent this photo of the Hubert Castle Circus poster. The date is 1971. The show was playing Toronto but I know very little about Hubert’s show. In the mid 1960’s Dad and I worked with his show with our chimp act. In his younger years Hubert Castle was known as Hal Smith which […]

Hubert Castle #2

The Hubert Castle Camels

| August 28, 2009

I want to thank Joanne and PeeWee for this photo. I had posted a similar photo not long ago under the title Marhal. At the time of posting I had very little info on the act. The camels were owned by Hubert Castle and may have been trained by Bert Pettus according to Joanne Pinson.

Cassidy Girls

The Cassidy Girls delighted the crowd . This was a great juggling routine as it consists showering of the hoops from one person to another. It was simple but effective and that is how you entertain.
