This is one of many animal cage wagons that I saw at Louie Goebel’s winter quarter at Jungleland, Thousand Oaks, Calif in 1952 and 1953. There were also several cargo wagons.

On the envelope that the negative of this photo came in, was written Great Wallace Circus calliope. It indeed is a wonderful photo, I only wish there was a date on it…….OK circus fans, come through for me. Give me a date.

The information that I have on this photo is limited. The band wagon is called “Old United States.” The date on the negative folder is faded, but I make it out to be 1908?
