The Flying Bells

| June 30, 2012

This is what is known as a double flying act. There are two catchers in the center of the rigging. This to my knowledge as seen here is the only photo of this flying act. This photo was shot in the very early 1950’s, might be late 1940’s.

Baby Bull Act

| June 30, 2012

It’s a baby bull Jar-go. NO hay, no water, no shovelling. Now why couldn’t I have thought of this kind of act. This photo had no name on it, just a date of 1954.

Jimmy “Shorty” Tory

Shorty did one of the–if not the funniest–comedy trapeze act that I have ever seen. Not as  a clown or doing a drunk routine, just straight comedy with very tough tricks.

The LaVan Casting Act

| June 25, 2012

This photo was actually taken on a vaudeville theater stage in the very early 1900’s.  I am so fortunate that I have these wonderful old original photos in my collection. A very profound comment made by Pete Kolozsy.
