This is a picture of my mother performing with her dogs, my father is in the background assisting. Notice the military costume that my father is wearing. In those days it was customary that all animal trainers wore military type costumes. They were always announced as “Captain …………”

Chief Sugarbrown can be seen in the center with the drum. This was a crowd pleaser! It was my favorite part of the show.

This is Chief Sugerbrown, from the Great Cherokee Nation. He and his family of native dancers & stunt riders played a very important part in the show. 101 Ranch Wild West and Circus 1945.

Hope was a trick rider in the 101 show. Her husband Don had a pony drill. They were fine people to know.

Johnny was one of the best on the slack wire. In this photo he is doing an act called the “drunk”. The antics on the wire were hilarious.

The Tex Orten family was a great western act on the 101, consisting of trick whip cracking and knife throwing.

These talented young ladies did everything from trick riding to manage and rosin back. There were two girls that did Roman Riding also.
