I never saw this lady perform her cannon act although I wish I had.  Years ago I saw Hugo shoot himself over two Ferris wheels.  That was thrilling to witness.

Mingo

Mingo was truly a fine circus clown.  He came from the old school, he always was a part of clown alley and for those who worked with him would say….. he was reliable no matter the clown gag. The last time I saw Mingo was on the Tommy Bentley circus in 1984?

This photo was shot looking toward the front of the midway. The fact that there were two Farris Wheels tells me that the show was playing a fair. The Farris Wheels acted as a entrance to the carnival from the independent midway.
