For some unknown reason I have always enjoyed watching a comedy horizontal bar act. I guess it is because, when you put comedy and one of the hardest acts in the business together and do it well……… It is to be admired, This is why Chuck Brown and Shelby Jackson were noted for their acts . Part of Chuck’s act was untangling his rigging. The audience was very confused with this strange looking contraption in the center of the stage.

How well I remember these two fine people. I never saw their act, but I heard how great they were from other performers. After Benny Fox retired, he became a self-made agent and producer. That is when I knew him . Our family did many a show for him. He was just a little guy with a giant personality and so very likable…………… Thanks for the photo Dorothy.

Can you recognize anyone here. Notice the sign in the back ground. How long has it been that a Coca Cola sold for 10 cents and a hot dog for 25 cents? This will help date the photo some what.
I just found out from Casey Gibbs that this is the Ft Worth Shrine Circus. The last time I bought a coke for 10 cents was 1953.
