Tina Schittona

Siebrand Bros circus mid 1950’s. Tina Schittona, I was told,  lives in Las Vegas, Nevada. When I knew her back in the 50’s she was one fine performer. This photo taken in Butte, Montana. You will most likely note many of the Siebrand photos were shot in Butte, Montana because their photographer lived in Butte. His Studio is C. Owen Smithers & Son which I understand is still in business.

Jam Up

The major ride ticket on the Siebrand show in the 1940,s was 15 and 20 cents. In the 1950’s it went to 25 cents and kiddie rides were at 15 cents. A average load of people on a Tilt A Whirl would gross about eight dollars every 15 minutes, maybe ten jam up. Time was important, get on and get them off, you had to gin the ride to make any money.
