Blackfoot was one of the “get well” spots for Siebrand Bros. This fair was a big $$ for the show. The photo was taken in 1949. We would be in Blackfoot three or four days before the fair opened which would give us time to catch up on things.  At night we would go to the movies.  There was only one theater in town and they showed one movie over and over and it was always a Western. What I enjoyed most were the Indians in the audience that made up about ninety percent of the people in the theater and every time an Indian would win a battle they would jump up and laugh with joy.  It was all done in fun and never an ill word spoken………….From that experience I took away with me a great lesson…. how to laugh even though you remember the pain.
