Newspaper Clips from the !950’s

The show did carry adult type games. Where ever the show played the local police knew of these games as they had been fixed to operate. From the 1800’s to the early 1900’s gambling was aloud on circuses and carnivals, It was only until the early 1960’s when it was considered illegal. However there were a few towns that had to be fixed before the 1960. The fuzz would hold out their duke to get filled and then the fix was in. Anyone that got beat on a flat store game had it coming, They were out to score for themselves but the guy behind the counter was just to sharp. I am not defending anyone, Just telling it like it was. When a losers beef came down to the”Patch”, or the “Fixer” would always kick back the loss to the mark with a bonus of a Teddy Bear or a free game at the Balloon Store………….. Some of the words above you may not understand, They are defined for you in the show biz category.
