The first time I ever saw Tommy Bentley on a show he was doing a wire act, and as I recall a dog act and somehow I seem to recall a pig act. Years later he would occasionally mention to me about having worked on the wire with “Gracie”. When he did I thought he was referring to Gracie Hanneford, but when I repeated the story to her she would always deny it. In viewing photos on this site I saw a picture of F.lo and Grace McInosh together and suspected that maybe Tommy had worked wire with them and sort of vaguely recalled a comment to that effect from Grace McIntosh. I have just seen this photo for the first time and the dark haired woman in it looks like that could be Flo McIntosh. Does anyone know?
0n reflection, I think the pig act I mentioned may have been Carley Peterson’s – maybe Tommy was giving him a hand with it.
