I just found your wonderful circus blog site and discovered a photo posted August 31, 2008 showing “Mason’s Natureland.” Do you have any further information about this picture? I am researching the history of Harry J. Mason and his wife Marie who apparently are depicted here along with Marie’s daughter Catherine who later married another performer, Gus Augsburg (Augsberg) who also had a chimp act and was on TV into the 1970s. Harry and Marie later operated “Mason’s Circus” into at least the later 1950s. Does anyone know what became of them or Gus Augsburg?
