    Dear Chuck Burns,
In 1961, Ringling Brothers circus came to Goodland, Kansas to rehease before going to Denver, Co for their shows. You stayed with my family during that time. I was 7 years old and it was the most amazing summer of my childhood because of Ringling Brothers circus being in our small town and becoming part of our “families”. We came out in the mornings to the fairgrounds and watched the animals being fed and trained, got to ride the elephants, played with all of you in the park and learned how to look pretty when the strong man picked me up with one arm! You left me an autographed photo like the one on this page which was lost when my parents sold our childhood home and downsized, which made me sad. I would love to have another. I would love to share more, too, if possible. Thank you! Linda
