I have Mabel’s personal photo and clippings albums. This shot was in a series, taken as they must be, while the cats are amenable to posing–quickly, before their mood changes. The tigers are Boston and Beauty, who usually did well in harnesses as we see here. But they could suddenly remind anyone within reach that they were tigers with full sets of claws.
