Sky King

Posted By on January 31, 2012

Kerby Grant was a special celebrity on many circuses. He did not travel with the shows, his appearances were only in the big spots and generally in southern California. In this ad he is featured with Carson & Barnes Circus. To my knowledge the only show that he did travel with. The actual date of this ad is unknown to me, however it was in the early 1960’s

I am the oldest daughter of Jack Moore..the family that started Carson and Barnes Circus
    of Hugo, Okla.
Sky King was a daily performer on our show from 1964 to 1968. Daddy supplied him with a car and travel trailer.
He closed the show with a song he wrote called I LOVE A CIRCUS.

    Thank you

Hi. I have an 8×10 autographed Sky King black and white picture that says Carson and Barnes Circus on it. We lived in Louisville and would visit Cincinnati in late ‘60s early ‘70s. Is it possible the circus was there during that time?
