World Jungle Compound

On the left is Trader Horn. The person on the right was a trainer at the compound but I can not remember name….Sorry.  This photo along with others were given to the nephew of Billy Richards, Jerry Osborne, and now Jerry shares them with me. Thanks.

Roger Smith named the person next to Trader Horne. Please read his comment. Thanks Roger.

That’s Tony Gentry on the right. I first knew him when we worked on Jungleland’s last big feature film, DR. DOLITTLE. One morning at 5 a.m., I was riding with Tony out to Disney’s Golden Oaks Ranch for the shooting of the Blossom’s Circus sequences, and was sporing a hell of a hangover. Tony told me to reach in the glove compartment and take one of those yellow pills. My hangover straightened out in about 30 seconds, and Tony refused to ever tell me what the pill was. He was a colorful animal man, an alumnus of Frank Buck, and compiled a long history of picture work before his death at 86.

My grandmother was Trader Horne’s niece. We have very few photos. Do you have any of him or of his wife Grace (my grandmother adored her)? Or any info about them…
