The lion in this photo was one of the original MGM lions. He can also be seen on youtube in a video from the Studio City Christmas Parade. We used him to promote the opening of Chucko’s Party House at Jungleland in 1965.At one time he was kept in the front garage under the Jungleland sign, along with my 6′ unicycle. He also went to auction and I had to stop bidding at $500, he went for $600 to a school as a mascot. From what I understand he was resold and is currently at the MGM in Las Vegas.
