I had to re-post this picture of George Perkins again in memory of him. George personified what a circus clown is. But not only that, he was a fine human being.

I appreciate the words accompanying the photos, George “Perky” Perkins was my grandfather and was everything you said and more. We grew up around the circus as kids and my grandfather was loved and respected by all who knew him. I have hundreds of circus photos from the early circus days from the 1930’s on.
