Hi Ivan,
I just saw this photo you posted of Curly. I was wondering if you had any further information on it. I assume it was taken in 1936? We are aware he was on Cole Bros but have no confirm-able dates and really know very little about him prior to his RBBB stint.

I showed that picture of Curly from the circus blog to mom and she said she is not sure that is him – said he looked to wide as in body shape and that is hair was not dark or curly enough…

Parker III, I Have Been Searching High & Low For Any Photo’s Of My Biological Grandfather Frank/Fred “Curly” Schafer/Shaffer For Several Year’s Now, I Have Found Several Articles Of My Biological Grandmother’s May Kovar Sr. Who Was Married Curly At The Time Of Her Death In 1949 When My Mother Sandra June Schafer/Shaffer Was Present Outside The Cage When My Grandmother Was Killed By Her Lion In Thousand Oaks California, Can Anyone Help My Cousin And I Know For Sure That The Photo Above Is My Biological Grandfather.
