Escalante SistersFrom left to right. Angelita, Milonga, Johnny Cline was her husband. Betty Phillip’s wife and Lorena Blackie wife. I spoke with Milonga just a few days ago and told her that I was sending this photo to her. I will call her today to see if she got it. 10-30-13………………. She did. Milonga told me that the photo was taken in 1938 on the Hagenbeck & Wallace Circus.

Betty was my grandfathers (Charlie Noriega from Roswell, Nm) aunt. I have some old photos ..neat to see this.

If you look up Lillie Noriega on facebook she has our family history.

I am Associate Professor of English and Cultural Studies at Hassan II University of Casablanca, Morocco. I am doing research on Moroccan performers who appeared in entertainment venues across the USA in the 19th and 20th century. I am particularly looking for ZAHRA KADER, a circus performer with Cole Brothers in the 1950s.
I was wondering if you could possibly send any documents or images related to this name. This material will be used for academic research and I will acknowledge the copyright parmission in my work.

    Best regards.
