You mentioned that the Bentley Bros circus tiger poster was used for 10 years, I was wondering what were the years?

  2. Alex Smith says:

I’m willing to bet the tiger poster was used 1989
-1999 —- prior to that the poster had a male lion
    Instead if a tiger.

  3. 1985 was the best summer I can remember. Carol Markans cats were the coolest but Janell the 3 year old chimp was my sanity girl. I worked on the prop crew and Millie Johnson let me carry Janel to the ring and put her in her chair so she could watch Zepher do the act.

Hi, I toured for several years w/Tommy and Clancy late 70’s-early 80’s as musical director. I have one old poster framed on the wall…..pretty generic, as they usually were. Are Tommy and Clancy still around?

  5. Alex Smith says:

Clancy runs an accounting business in Florida, Tommy
Passed away in 2010 or 2011

  6. Tom bentley was my great uncle and he passed away several years ago. I would love to have one of his circus posters to hang on my wall and to be able to pass it along to another family member when I’m gone. Anybody with an extra or possible to get a copy? Not too many of the bentley clan left. My mother jackie is his niece and she turned 84 oct 5th. We often speak of childhood days long gone. Thank you

Do you have any idea where they sold the elephants when they closed the circus? I’m a family member of the last owner and would like to see the elephants if they’re still around
