    Ivan,
I sent you this post card… front only. The back says in part St. Louis Zoological Garden: Lions and tigers are presented together in the St. Louis Zoo’s Theater of the Big Cats by Richard McGraw. 1961 Pasha is the snarling cat.

I do not have this post card, but Jackie is right. This is Dick. For a long time, at Jungleland, we also had a blank back wall, meaning no bars, and no way anyone could get back there with a stick to help a trainer in trouble. We all called this the Death Trap cage. Later, Chet Juszyk installed sections of bars in front of the wall, giving us a little edge in a jackpot. Looking at this arena, we didn’t have a door like this one seen here. The great artwork, which changed from time to time, can be credited to chimp trainer Mike Costial.

Of my four mentors, Clyde Beatty, Benny Bennett, Mabel Stark, and Dick McGraw, Dick is the sole survivor, long retired and living with his wife, Shirley, in the Carolinas.

That is Dick, as being his son I have seen this pic. My dad is still kicking and living in SC. Saw him about four months ago.
