Vargas Elephants

There was more than one elephant in the Vargas circus although this is the only picture I could come up with. Cliff Vargas had a great imagination and he put it to work in his circus. I am quoting my father Clifford Henry. In this photo is Ted Polk who trained and worked the elephants.

This routine was actually put together by Ben Williams who is also the man in the photo. Pictured next to Ben is Lisa Dufresne and atop Col. Joe is Ben’s wife Darlene. Ted later continued the routine with Cathy Braa Fornisari.
