You could not ask for a finer performer than Mall Hall, how ever there was one other Phil Bonta.

Eugene Randow Old Friend

This is first for me. I never saw Gene in clown cop makeup. When we were with Polack Bros, Gene as I called him, was a tramp clown and I will ad very fumy at that. Gene was a great help to me with comedy ideas concerning my routines with Bongie one of our chimps. He just saw things that others didn’t and would say why not try this in your routine. It always worked, To this day I thank him.

Polack Bros Circus, 1945. I remember well working with the Pallenberg’s for two seasons on the Siebrand circus in the med 1950’s. The Pallenberg’s had two great kids Kathy and Billy, fun to hang around with. I hope one day to see them again.

The Zavatta Troupe

Olgi Zavatta on the far right was a good friend of ours. We first met he and his family on the Siebrand Bros Circus in the late 1950’s. His two sons Monte and Geno live just a few miles away from me. We have a visit with each other from time to time and talk about the old days. The Zavatta and Zoppe family’s came over together from Italia, in the mid 1940’s and I believe they joined the Cole show………… Please correct me if I am wrong.
