Many of these acts from the Carson collection date back to the 1940’s and 50’s.

I misspelled her name on the title ab0ve. Sorry for the mistake. I was informed by her great nephew that Margo is her first name and this is how it is spelled. Thank you for bringing this to my attention. I wish to say that if ANYONE should notice a miss print of any kind, please let me know.

Thanks…………… Your comment has been posted. …………. There just came an anonymous comment. Please read.

“Thoroughly Modern Millie”

Posted By on February 18, 2012

The movie “Thoroughly Modern Millie” starring Julie Andrews was shot at Universal Studios. The Ted Dewayne Teeter Board Troupe were known as the Bernini Bros in this movie. The very recognizable Ted Dewayne stands at the top of the group. From left to right Billy Snyder, Paula Bolsems who doubled for Carol Channing, then Carol Channing, Ray Saunders, Darryl Ferges and Russ Saunders. During the shooting of the teeter board scene, the song that Miss Channing sang was, “Oh do it again”.

I want to thank Darryl Ferges for this wonderful photo.

Mac & Peggy MacDonald

This elephant in Opal. I believe she was the first elephant to do the “One Leg Stand.” Opal was trained by Mac MacDonald. Mac also trained the Besielou elephants named after Bessie and Louie Stern, owners of Polack Bros Circus. In my opinion, Mac MacDonald was the finest of all the great elephant trainers.

Thank you Melia for your comment.
